Welcome to MelindaLee.com.   Food... Cooking... Lifestyle

Hello from Melinda!

As you can see - after all these years - I have finally streamlined this site, so that the features you need are here - and the outdated features have been removed. I use the site, myself, to find recipes as well as basics like measurements, and to find various resources. (The popular Emergency Preparedness Guide is the last listing under Resources.)

The sections that remain are, as you can see, just those (Basics, Recipes, Resources), and a newly reconstructed section, called About Us

I am aware that some editing and corrections are needed in the pre-existing sections - one of the most frustrating aspects is that things seem to fall out of format as time goes by, like spacing and the disappearance of small bits of text - but I will make these corrections as time goes by, and as I discover them as I use the site myself.

You can search recipes by category (click on Recipes from the navigation bar) or by using the "Search This Site" button in the upper right corner of each page. The recipes can be searched by title or ingredient and in other ways I will describe as we go along, such as by holiday or ethnicity (I notice some indexing of this sort newly needs improvement). You can also print a copy of any recipe by clicking on the printer icon that appears on the recipe page; the print version will be centered to the page, and have no site graphics or clutter, so that the recipe is easy to read and follow.

I also continually discover new recipes, as you might expect, so my idea is to list them here, below or within this letter - maybe with a descriptive comment - and I then will post them to the Recipes section. The new recipes won't appear every week, as they did during broadcast years, but will post from time to time as I explore and develop new recipes.

In the About Us section, I have added a link from which you can write to me with comments or questions. Since I still do not use my Facebook page or other social media, it seemed to me that I ought to find an opportunity to communicate with you. Please click on the About Us link from the navigation bar to see how it works.

We are making this refurbished site "live" before a lot of the internal editing is done, because that fine-tuning will happen as I use the site, myself, and discover where editing or other procedures are needed. Given how long it has taken to reconstruct this new site, I hope you can understand why it is still "a work in progress!"

I hope you enjoy it -
