IMPROVED RADIO RECEPTION (ET.AL.)
www.ccrane.com
This site sells the Justice AM antenna which can provide excellent reception for AM signals in areas with poor reception or interference. The antenna is $99.95, and entirely portable - it weighs 2 pounds, uses no electricity, no batteries, and has no wiring to hook up, nor any power cord.
Several listeners have told us that this company also sells equipment which makes it possible to tape the show (often difficult if taping is unattended, because of the length of the broadcast).
The company is located in Fortuna, California and offers a free catalog.
Telephone number is 800 522-8863
http://food.epicurious.com
This site includes recipes from Bon Appetit and Gourmet magazine.
http://www.welovefish.com
This is the site for Coal Point Seafoods in Homer, Alaska. In addition to having an extensive file of good recipes, they also sell fish and seafood by mail order.
www.allrecipes.com
This site has been suggested more than once by listeners. It has a lot of advertising (pop-ups and all) but a nice collection of recipes, and is easy to search.

A-1 Seltzer & Beverage Company
Located in North Hollywood, at Beck Ave. and Van Owen, this company sells and delivers old-fashioned, New York style seltzer in bottles (the syphon type). The way it works is that the customer orders the desired number of bottles, makes a deposit on the bottles, then telephones to request refilled bottles as necessary. The deposit on the bottles is returned when service is discontinued and the bottles are returned.
323 875-1975
Ronald Reginald's Vanilla Bean Marinade from
CREOLE DELICACIES
This is less a "marinade" than an extremely intense and full-flavored vanilla extract, made with several Bourbon Madagascar vanilla beans steeped in alcohol, and still in the bottle. An 8 ounce bottle is $11.95, and the label indicates that only half as much of this extract equals a full measure of other vanilla extracts. Our listener, Shawna, found this product when visiting New Orleans, and tells us that it can be replenished by adding bourbon as the liquid contents are used. The company also sells a cookbook and other New Orleans, Cajun and Creole products. NOTE: There are pieces of vanilla bean in this product (that's why it can be replenished) - so it is not suitable for use in baking, unless carefully strained.
