I had an 8 quart Ceramic Bowl (Roseville, Ohio) I used for marinating large roasts. Recently it was destroyed. I would like to find a replacement for it, (Ceramic, Stoneware, or Earthenware). Or maybe someone has another idea of what can be used for marinating.

I have several nesting stainless steel bowls that I use. I've had them for 30 years. The best part is they don't break and can be used for mixing, marinating, bread rising and even serving a large crowd.

Years ago I bought a plastic container from Tupperware that is made for marinating. It has channels to allow the liquid to go under the meat & is easily turned over as desired. I also use it when I make pasta salad & want to mix in the dressing & let it marinate well. Here's the link:

It's called the season serve & is also available on Amazon

MomLid, I have two of those Season Serve containers from Tupperware I bought many years ago. They've had lots and lots of good use.

calli728, I also use Ziploc bags for marinating. You mentioned large roasts. Depending on how large, I think their largest food storage bags might be 2 gallons.

I've used the 2-gal Ziploc IN a stainless steel bowl.

Keeping it in a bowl makes it easy to turn the bag over and take in and out of the fridge, and allays fears about leakage.

Can beat the ziplocks for marinating.

Guess you could try a restaurant supply like STAR if you still want a ceramic bowl.
