Since I have arthritis in my thumb joints, with continuous use, ordinary tongs are painful. Scissor tongs use muscles differently and are fine.

I've done some internet searches, to no avail, as well as the usual retail kitchen stores (including Wm. Sonoma, Starr Rest. Supply).

Any idea where to buy coated-end scissor tongs to use with non-stick or hard-anodized cookware (Circulon)?

MsMarm, I found lots of scissor tongs, but the only silicone coated ones I could find were these...

Thanks, Esterbrook. I found Cook n Stuff doesn't have any and I even asked them to create them - I'd bet they'd sell.

I also called Sur La Table, also to no avail.

I'm thinking of taking a simple scissor tong and seeing if I can have the business end coated myself. $$$$, I imagine.

MsMarm, I have wooden scissor tongs that I got at Sur La Table and I love them. Their large, about 11 inches. I got them many years ago, but it's worth a try. Happy New Year!
