Looking for a vanilla gelato recipe that does not use cream or egg yolks. Apparently, gelato from southern Italy is made using milk and cornstarch.

Here is the southern Italian gelato recipe I use for pistacio gelato. It sounds like what you are looknig for only you want vanilla. It's a start, though! Hope this helps.
