I'm am looking for an electric apple wedger for my grandmother. There are a lot of wedgers out there, but she doesn't have the strength to push down on the apple so it slices. I'm looking for something that, ideally, she can push a button and it'll create wedges or at least slices. Can anyone help?

Then your grandmother just has to slice.

I use one of the apple peeler/slicer/corers - with an easy to use hand crank.

The only cutting is when it is finished, making one cut straight down on one side to separate the spiral slices.

It also works on very firm pears.

I have this one because it takes the largest apples. Some of the others have a shorter shaft.
